| Gandalf was a hand-me-down cat that went through four or five owners before me. I believe he was named after the wizard in J.R.R. Tolkien's trilogy Lord of the Rings. In August 1997 he (Gandalf) was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus and became insulin dependent. After a year he developed complications (advanced kidney dysfunction) and was euthanized on September 30, 1998. He was a wonderful cat and I'll miss him very much. | |
